Suspended rides are usually referred to as monorails, but as the description suggests this would imply a single guide rail with a module hanging below it. Although WGH provide suspended monorails, we have developed the technology using our roller coaster experience and rack drive system in order to produce some of the most versatile suspended ride systems available today. Using a rack drive system the module is able travel up and down in addition to negotiating small radius curves. Modules produced to date carry up to 6 passengers and can be designed and programmed to rotate to give passengers the optimum views of the featured displays. The modules are individually themed to the client’s requirements and can also be fitted with multi-language audio systems. The main advantage of this type of system is that the floor is left clear for ease of emergency evacuation.
